In Between

$2,400.00

A quiet painting I hope holds a little awe and forms a memory and a story of your own.

I wanted to paint not just an orca, but the feeling of seeing one - that brief, powerful break in the surface that reminds you two worlds exist at once. The bubbles trailing off the tail are what brings it to life for me. Proof of movement, of breath, and of the beauty that just passed through.

My work lives in the in-between: between fog and clarity, light and dark, surface and depth. I am drawn to that moody, quiet atmosphere of the West Coast - those early mornings when the water is flat, the islands are hidden in mist, and everything feels still. Safe. Present. That suspended moment before the sun breaks through and the mist disappears.

An original 30”×40”x1.5” oil painting on canvas. Varnished for UV protection, signed and dated on the back. Hanging hardware installed (ready to hang). Sides are painted a solid Charcoal.
