Between Two Worlds

$2,400.00
sold out

Quiet, atmospheric, and still. The fog makes the background feel distant and dreamlike, while the orca in the foreground feels solid and present. The water line creates a clear division between the underwater world and the world above. Yet, the orca doesn’t have to choose one world. It needs and relies on both. Moving forward, carrying both worlds with it.

This painting represents my transition from one home to the next. Packing up one home, saying goodbye to memories that shaped me as a new artist, while stepping into a new adventure I couldn’t wait to start. Living in two places at once. The memories soaked into the old walls, the first paintings, the late nights figuring out my voice, the underwater is the foundation. The world above is new and unknown. The next adventure hidden through the trees, and possibilities through the mist. Carrying every memory from the old and taking it with me to the new.

An original 30”×40”x1.5” oil painting on canvas. Varnished for UV protection, signed and dated on the back. Hanging hardware installed (ready to hang). Sides are painted a solid Charcoal.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an EXTRA Large painting that may have additional shipping fees applied at checkout.
